After a long and stressful day including a flat tire and broken flat, I retired to the back porch for a late dinner by my lonesome, listening to Ekkehard Ehlers “Plays” for the first time in several years. It’s stunningly beautiful, extremely ambient music. I first blogged about this song in 2004, and here’s what I wrote

No-fail Mojito recipe
I just love a well made mojito. In summer, it’s hard to beat that minty-limey freshness. I recently found a bottle of rum and today I happened upon some mint… Mojito time! Here’s how I make em!
No-fail Mojito
Cut half a lime into wedges. throw half of them heavy glass.
Chuck in a quite a few sprigs of mint. The more the merrier!
Add 1 Tablespoon sugar, then muddle that mix...

Things I Cooked This Week, an illustrated book
A short illustrated book I made on July 3rd depicting seven things I cooked this past week. I was making little blank books for the kids to draw in and decided to do one for myself and I really enjoyed the process. Next time I think I’ll use colored pencils rather than the kids’ markers. Enjoy!

I got a new camera and as I was testing it out around the office last night, I happened to take a burst of photos that made for some really nice animated gifs, starring my lovely bride, Allison.
I love the smiling one, but this eyeball thing down here is so funny to me. Great job!
